THE LEAGUE OF CONTRIVANCE: An Improv Comedy Night At the Century Club - Soho W1 Friday 17th March 2023 Two shows available - 7:00 pm and 9:00 pm Finding yourself on stage in front of an audience without a script is a classic Freudian nightmare from which many of us have woken up in a cold sweat. Yet this is something that improv actors subject themselves to every night for a living... This March, Soho’s new improv night, The League of Contrivance, will be returning to the Century for a St Patrick's Day special edition. Featuring improvisers from Chicago’s renowned Second City and IO Theatres and from the ‘FA’ (The Free Association), the actors will weave an entire improvised show based on a one-word suggestion from the audience. Expect to be transported to a stunningly complex and hilarious universe. Tickets £10 for one show or £15 for both - please click here to buy. The League of Contrivance has been produced by The Gang in collaboration with The Free Association (FA). The Gang’s founder member, Damian Arnold trained at LAMDA for three years and is a veteran improviser of IO Chicago and The Second City. He performed on Chicago’s improv stages for ten years and appeared several times on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. The Free Association is one of the UK's leading improvised comedy theatres and schools. The FA is filled with talented and veteran improvisers many of whom perform on the stage and on television in the UK. |
