The Abominable Dr. Phibes, the maniacal Prince Prospero and the nefarious Witchfinder General: Vincent Price played some of the most sinister villains ever to darken the silver screen. Lauded as the "indisputable king of American gothic", his wit, camp demeanour and chilling screen presence came to personify the horror genre in twentieth century film. He occupies a special place in the history of British cult cinema, as from the mid-1960s nearly all his films were made in the UK. To celebrate this entente his daughter and official biographer, Victoria Price, will be flying in from Los Angeles to join A Curious Invitation on Halloween eve to tell the on- and off-screen story of her father.

Using information gathered from conversations Victoria taped with him prior to his death in 1993, her talk is guaranteed to give an intimate, soul searching and hair raising portrait of the career and legacy of this iconic actor.

Victoria Price
Born in 1962, Victoria Price grew up in Hollywood as the daughter of horror legend Vincent Price and designer Mary Grant Price. In 1999, six years after her father's death, her memoirs of his life was published. Using information gathered from taped conversations with her dad, her book is a highly acclaimed portrayal of Vincent's life not only as an actor but also as an avid art enthusiast, collector, promoter and family man.

An experienced public speaker, Victoria first joined the lecture circuit in 2011 to talk about her father in honor of the 100th anniversary of his birth. Since then she has made frequent appearances throughout the US offering insight into Vincent Price for his faithful fans.
