"Silas and Snare are two artists that seem able to zip through styles with a resounding panache." - Fabric London

Leeds is a city notorious for it’s diverse and competitive club culture. It has cultivated and played host to some of the most successful events, festival companies and DJs in the UK and beyond for many years. Establishing yourself in such an environment is certainly a challenge. Silas & Snare Surgeon met in Leeds three years ago and have done exactly that. Hailing from Manchester and London respectively, they quickly took up residencies at the popular nights Vagabondz, Subdub, Hit&Run and Bigger than Barry; initially gaining respect playing everything around 140BPM.

Through their numerous residencies around Leeds, Manchester and London they began to diversify their music tastes and expand their production abilities. The pair are now notorious for their extensive sets ranging from 125BPM to 160BPM with their productions and dubs finding their way to BBC Radio 1 and Rinse FM.

Alongside Djing, the pair run the highly respected Brotherhood Soundsystem with fellow member Titan, selling out 13 consecutive shows from 400 to 1400 people in a multitude of different venues around Leeds. 2013 also saw them play at the world famous Fabric London alongside recording a Fabriclive mix and an Urban Nerds Ones to Watch mix.
