Founded in October 2013 by conductor Johann Von Stuckenbruck, the King’s Chamber Orchestra has rapidly grown into one of London’s leading young orchestras and continues to develop its now sterling reputation. Based at King’s College London, the KCO brings together the best young musicians and professionals from around London with the aim of providing a platform for their development as artists. The core values behind KCO lie in the importance of professional collaboration, through which the orchestra and its members may develop further understanding of the repertoire they wish to conquer. In past concerts, the orchestra has brought in members of the London Symphony Orchestra and the Philharmonia as well as London-based soloists and conductors to work and perform with the musicians. This is what makes the KCO one of the most exciting and unique young orchestras in London.

November 2013 saw the KCO’s full debut as an orchestra. Joined by London-based clarinettist Boyan Ivanov as soloist and the London Symphony Orchestra’s Ginette Decuyper as leader, the KCO produced a thrilling concert of Beethoven, Weber and Tchaikovsky. Carrying on from this success, the Orion Orchestra’s conductor Toby Purser and the Philharmonia’s Adam Wynter collaborated with the KCO for their concert on March 2nd 2014 and will work with Classic FM's top selling pianist Ji Liu for a thrilling all-Rachmaninoff programme in June 2014.
