Jonathon has received extensive training in classical ballet and contemporary dance in Detroit, New York City and London (UK). Graduating from Marygrove College in Detroit, Michigan, USA, with a Bachelors Degree in Fine Arts (BFA--Dance Performance) Jonathon began his career as a dancer with DDCDances performing repertory work and assisting in the choreographic process. During this time, he also began honing his skills as both a teacher and choreographer, working with both children and University students to mutually expand ideas of musicality and dramatic intent.

Moving to London, England to pursue a Postgraduate Diploma (PGDip) in Ballet Studies, Jonathon studied ballet from a multitude of angles--its history, relationship to music and ontology--helping him form a more cohesive idea of what ballet is and can be. He currently works as a teacher, performer and choreographer in the greater London area, continually expanding upon his knowledge of classical dance and the dramatic arts.
