SON AND SONS

Son & Sons Productions formed last year as an offshoot of the Tax Deductible Theatre Company, to focus primarily on event production, festival curation and interactive entertainment.

Made up of a team of directors, producers, performers and designers they have individually worked for clients such as Nintendo, Lady Gaga, Serge Becker and Red Bull.

At the Rite of Spring they will convert one of the railway arches outside the Coronet Theatre into an inverted and submerged ship, with chandeliers sprouting from the floor and furniture suspended from the ceiling with floating candelabrum and crockery hanging in space from invisible line.

The space will be populated by drowned crew members telling musical and poetic tales of voyages extraordinaires, and the vernian Captain Omen himself presiding over affairs and DJing shanties and whalesong. Throughout te night the space will be increasingly invaded by creatures of the deep, with narwhals, selkies and cephalopods becoming the dancing partners of the crew and guests.

Guests will be encouraged to have barnacles and limpets applied to their skin y our prosthetic artist the longer they spend in the room as they become more waterlogged.
