“Vaudeville's Darkest Muse”, Mr Pustra is a stylish, UK based performance artist, fashion icon, singer and producer. The often strange and compelling character, Mr Pustra, is based on Commedia dell'Arte’s Pierrot and inspired by the influcences of silent films or flickers (as they were known) by Georges Méliès and artistic movements such as Baroque and Art Deco. Elements of Opera, Ballet, Kabuki and German Kabarett can also be found in Mr Pustra’s work. Performers/Artists such as Klaus Nomi, David Bowie, Leigh Bowery, Sebastian Droste, Marlene Dietrich and Charlie Chaplin feature as a source of inspiration for the artist’s styling. Mr Pustra (or Le Pustra) has a highly distinctive, sought after ‘look’ and theatrical vision which evokes a decadent dreamlike world of melancholia and sepia-tinted vignettes, inspiring other artists and eccentrics alike. Mr Pustra is neither a ‘shock’ performer but rather described as a work of ‘Live Art’.

Mr Pustra has been featured in Vogue (UK), Hunger TV Magazine, Vanity Fair (Italy), Playboy (France), The Independent (UK), Vigore Magazine and the book: New Club Kids: London Party Fashion in the Noughties by Oggy Yordanov.
