Moreno Perna (Italy 1989) is a performer based in Amsterdam.
He started his dance career in Italy, working as a hip-hop dancer for TV and advertisement.
Then, he studied at the Amsterdam University of the Arts where he graduated in MTD (Moderne Theater Dans).

Since 2014, he has been working for Troubleyn / Jan Fabre. He is part of the cast of Jan Fabre`s pieces
“Mount Olympus – To Glorify the Cult of Tragedy” and “The Power of Theatrical Madness”.
Moreno has also performed for Christian Bakalov’s “BRIGHT” and he gave various classes and workshop in Italy, Brussels (The New Space), Tel Aviv (Mandel Summer Course) and Amsterdam (MTD, Academie voor Theater en Dans).

Recently, he has been working on his own creations.
"XYX" will have its premiere in Antwerp at Monty Theatre after a residency in Troubleyn / Jan Fabre.
“Lana del Rey Changed (since the fire nation attacked)” for Intimadance Festival will be presented in July 2017 in Tel Aviv, where Moreno is also presenting his sound installation “NONHUMAN-HUMAN” at
Print Screen Festival.
He is now supported by Dansmakers Amsterdam.

He also works as nightclub performer under the name of Vortex in Amsterdam and abroad.
He focuses his creative research on Identity as cultural construct and withdraws from pop culture and high culture, distorting them to create his own performances in theatre.
